Another of our services we specialize in is roof cleaning. There are two
types of roof cleanings that we do. The first one we will discuss is the
general maintenance roof cleaning. This is simply removing loose debris such
as pine needles and leaves from your roof by blowing them off and cleaning
them from the ground. The roof debris removed is put into the customer's
yard debris bin or for a low price of $5 per large bag removed, we will haul the roof debris away.
The following is our minimum charge for a general maintenance roof cleaning:
$75 for all roof debris removed and affected gutters cleaned out. Additional gutters
not affected by our cleaning of the roof will be priced accordingly. You can

Roof (Moss Removal)
Many different companies perform their roof moss removals differently. The following
is the ARK way. We have simplified our roof moss removal process as much as possible. We access your roof by ladder and begin by scrubbing the moss off of your roof by use of
brushes (along the affected surface, please see pictures) and brooms. Many other roof cleaners will want to "pressure rinse" your roof and for some types of roofs this
is an okay method. However, we never "pressure rinse" a composition roof. If you
have a warranty or insurance on your roof, please check it before anyone uses a
pressure washer on it because most roof warranties specify that any pressure
rinsing of your roof will VOID your roof's warranty.
After removing up to 90% of the moss off your roof we then blow it off of your roof and/or sweep it off. The gutters are cleaned after this. The same rule follows for the charges
on your gutters as with the general maintenance roof cleaning. If you choose the entire
moss removal process we tack on a 3 year no-moss guaranty. Please ask for
further details at time of your roof cleaning estimate.
The following is our prices for moss removal:
$150 minimum for patches of moss removed from your roof. If there is moss in all
of the horizontal and vertical linings of your roof shingles it will be more than the
minimum price, but we always try to be fair and honest with our pricing no
matter what.
$50 minimum for Zinc strip removal from your roof. Sorry, we do not install them. They have
been tested by the test of time and failed 9 times out of 10.
